Generating videos
Create a short video from a description or reference image, then download it or use it in your application.
Describe the clip
Ask Amazi in project chat to generate a video. Describe the subject, movement, camera, setting and intended use. Say whether you want a downloadable file, a video added to your application, or both.
Create a five-second landscape video of a red paper boat drifting across a pond. Keep the camera still, include quiet water sounds, and attach the MP4.
Amazi uses FLUX 3 Max through fal.ai for this tool. Each request produces one clip. Generation must be available to the task and consumes credits; it does not change your selected chat model.
Start from text or one image
Describe the scene in words, or choose one reference image from chat attachments or project files as the opening frame. Explain what should move. Other attachments are not automatically included as visual references. Selected conversation messages and readable attachment text can provide context.
The project-chat tool creates a new clip; it does not edit, extend, upscale or enhance an existing video or draft. See Generating images to prepare a still image first.
Length, format and sound
Choose a whole number of seconds from 5 to 20, an aspect ratio of Auto, 21:9, 2:1, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16, and 720p or 1080p resolution. The default is a five-second, 16:9, 720p clip with sound. Auto uses 16:9 for text and follows the starting image otherwise.
Quality offers High or Low reasoning effort: High spends more time interpreting the prompt; Low is faster. FLUX 3 Max does not have a draft mode. Longer clips and higher resolution can cost more. Usage appears with the task's credit charges; see Plans and credits.
Review and confirm
Before generation starts, Amazi pauses and shows Video generation confirmation in chat. The card shows the estimated price first, followed by duration, resolution, aspect ratio, quality and audio, then the prompt. Only the person who sent the task can approve it, while they still have permission to use the chat. Choose Generate video to create that exact clip using credits.
Change duration, resolution, aspect ratio, quality and audio in the five dropdowns, and edit the prompt in the text area. The estimated credits refresh after each edit. Generate video stays disabled while an edit is being checked or is invalid. The confirmed settings and prompt are used for generation and saved in the conversation. Successful FLUX 3 Max clips are charged by requested duration and the resolution rate shown for that request, rounded up to whole credits.
All six fields are required and marked with an asterisk. Complete any empty field before generating; clearing the prompt while editing does not show a generic request error.
The estimated price appears in an information box. If the paying account has less than 90% of the estimate, a warning appears directly below it and Generate video is disabled. Add credits to the paying account; the confirmation updates automatically. Cancel remains available.
For a long prompt, scroll the card's body. Cancel and Generate video stay in a separate footer below a top divider.
Choose Cancel to continue without generating or charging for the video. Another participant who can use the chat can also cancel the confirmation. Edit this card before approving; a separate later generation requires a new confirmation.
Stopping the task after rendering starts does not cancel the submitted generation or its credit usage.
Follow progress and use the result
The compact confirmation groups settings into two columns and keeps the editable prompt below them. The prompt expands to show its full content. While rendering, an animated video placeholder shows an approximate percentage. Longer clips use a longer time estimate; the percentage stays below 100% until generation finishes.
After approval, the work summary shows the generation's status, then a playable video with browser controls and no separate download link. Amazi continues with the resulting file when generation finishes. Completed previews remain in the saved summary for people with project access. Failed or interrupted generations display their status instead of a loading indicator.
The result is an MP4 file. Ask Amazi to attach it to the reply or save it into the application. A generated file does not become part of a page automatically: if you requested integration, check playback, layout and sound in Preview. Reuse an existing result when it already meets your needs.
Generated video files are limited to 50 MB. If the result is too large, Amazi reports the limit; choose a shorter clip or lower resolution for a new request. Reply attachments also follow Files and attachments.
To add video generation to your own application's backend, use the separate AI Gateway connection.
